Mobile misery

By Annabelle Mark  ·  April 29, 2010  ·

Today I thought I might be a bit more learned in this blog and then the world turned upside down - why? Because in the passage between meetings in London I lost my mobile phone. At both meetings I did how ever discuss the merits of Sensemaker and Cynefin one with a new young academic colleague the other with senior NHS personnel - did this make me forgetful of all else I ask myself? Meanwhile rescue mode became the order of the day, I retraced my steps to everywhere I had been, envisioned where I last remembered using it then added in...

Whose Healthcare…?

We have now had 2 national TV debates between the leaders of the three main parties and surprisingly the also ran third party leaders is coming out in front making the other two parties and their leaders worried about what this means for them. Well where do we go from here - a phrase we are hearing all around us in the UK as politicians attempt to get our votes; meanwhile at a more practical level I am finding the business of goverment grinding to a halt as the uncertainty of outcome make for inertia and second guessing. Pollsters think they are probing the complex space with their attempts to see what swings are happening and the TV debates new to our elections provide further dynamics to what some fear will be the Chaos of a hung parliament that is one where no party has...

Black Beauty

P4250203.JPG After a fascinating session with APHIS in Fort Collins on Friday I was a little too relaxed on Saturday morning when I was due on a 1205 flight to Calgary (by way of Dallas). It's an hours drive from Fort Collins to the airport and I left at 0900 planning to buy a novel (I had mistakenly brought volume one of a new fantasy series when my policy is to wait for all volumes to be published) and find a Star Bucks City mug for Denver. Fort Collins branches only had Colorado. Between the two tasks (neither successful by the way) I lost all...
